3 Players Commit to Express
The Burnaby Express Jr. 'A' Hockey Club is pleased
to announce the following commitments for the 2008-2009
BCHL Season: Michael Chan, Luke Challier and Ilya Kravtchouk.
"Each of these players bring great work ethic and
skill to their positions," states Head Coach, Dave
McLellan.
Michael Chan was born in Abbotsford in 1990 and is
a product of Abbotsford Minor Hockey. Michael had a
great first year in Jr. B helping backstop the Grandview
Steelers to the Provincial Championship and winning
Bronze in the Western Canadian Championship. "Our
whole organization is pleased to add a goaltender that
knows what it takes to win a Championship", commented
Head Coach, Dave McLellan.
Luke Challier was born in South Surrey in 1990 and
is product of Semiamhoo Minor Hockey. Luke is a 5'10"
190 lb. forward who's coming off a great season that
included playing for the Penticton Vee's and finishing
the season with Columbia Valley of the KIJHL. Head Coach
Dave McLellan, "Luke is an extremely hard-nosed
player who leaves nothing on the table and plays with
both toughness and skill."
Ilya Kravtchaouk, son of former NHLer and Russian National
Team player, and four time Olympic medalist, Ilya Kravtchaouck,
was born in California and is a product of Shattuck
St. Mary's Prep School in Faribault, Minnesota. "Ilya
is a 6', 205 lb. defenseman, who plays with edge and
will be very effective both 5 on 5 as well as with special
teams," states Head Coach, Dave McLellan.
The entire Burnaby Express organization is excited
to see Michael, Luke and Ilya in uniform next season.
