The Burnaby Express Jr. 'A' Hockey Club is pleased to announce the following commitments for the 2008-2009 BCHL Season: Michael Chan, Luke Challier and Ilya Kravtchouk. "Each of these players bring great work ethic and skill to their positions," states Head Coach, Dave McLellan.

Michael Chan was born in Abbotsford in 1990 and is a product of Abbotsford Minor Hockey. Michael had a great first year in Jr. B helping backstop the Grandview Steelers to the Provincial Championship and winning Bronze in the Western Canadian Championship. Luke Challier was born in South Surrey in 1990 and is product of Semiamhoo Minor Hockey. Luke is a 5'10" 190 lb. forward who's coming off a great season that included playing for the Penticton Vee's and finishing the season with Columbia Valley of the KIJHL. Head Coach Dave McLellan, "Luke is an extremely hard-nosed player who leaves nothing on the table and plays with both toughness and skill."

Ilya Kravtchaouk, son of former NHLer and Russian National Team player, and four time Olympic medalist, Ilya Kravtchaouck, was born in California and is a product of Shattuck St. Mary's Prep School in Faribault, Minnesota. "Ilya is a 6', 205 lb. defenseman, who plays with edge and will be very effective both 5 on 5 as well as with special teams," states Head Coach, Dave McLellan.

The entire Burnaby Express organization is excited to see Michael, Luke and Ilya in uniform next season.
